Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle

Nintendo Switch: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe feels like the pinnacle of the series, it took what Mario Kart 8 had on the Wii U and built upon that for a nearly perfect version of what Mario Kart can be. It really is the one Nintendo game that everyone can play and everyone can enjoy.

  • Base Model Console
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The Games

Zelda Breath of the Wild

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Game of year winner in 2017 and it’s not hard to see why. Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is probably one of the best Nintendo games on the system. It was literally a breath of fresh air with its sprawling open world and creative physics engine. Go anywhere, climb anything, if you can see it you can get to it.

Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario Odyssey

If Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the best Nintendo game on the system, Super Mario Odyssey isn’t far behind. The next true 3d Mario since Super Mario Sunshine. Perfect to explore and collect by yourself and it has a handy assist mode for any children who want to explore and experience the world of Super Mario Odyssey.

Splatoon 2

From its clothes, gear, weapons and music Splatoon 2 feels like a self contained culture that has created a trendy and stylish world all within a game. It gets a tremendous amount of love from the development team in the form of free updates. It has events called Splatfest every so often to keep the community engaged and the game feeling fresh. It’s a shooter that’s family friendly and something that only Nintendo could have pulled off.

Starlink

Starlink: Battle for Atlus

Nintendo has had the support of Ubisoft since the Wii days. Ubisoft even supported Nintendo during the dark era of the Wii U. Thankfully for Nintendo, Ubisoft has been hitting some real home runs on the Switch. First with Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and now with Starlink: Battle for Atlus. Starlink with it’s inclusion of the Starfox characters has stealthy became the best Starfox game in ages. It’s fun, fast and well made everything Starfox Zero on the Wii U was not. Plus this comes with an Arwing toy that is more than worth the price of admission.

Maria The Witch Review

Maria the Witch is a game by Naps Team. It grabs your attention by its cute graphics which look amazing and right at home on the Nintendo Switch! Let’s get to the review!

Maria The Witch

The game’s premise is that you control Maria’s Broom and try and get to the end of the stages. The story behind the game is that an Evil Monster has stolen all the mail and it’s your Job to try and get all the mail back! You do this by collecting coins and mail and reaching checkpoints where you can deliver the mail and buy unlockables. In each stage, there are different tasks that you can have to do achieve to be able to get all three stars per level.

Marina the Witch

Controls are a Mess! Luckily Maria Has a Broom

This is where the game starts to have its flaws, not within its premise but within its controls. I cannot adequately explain the controls because they are so unnatural. So, you move the broom forward by tapping the A button or Y button if you are going left on its 2D plane. Or you press the buttons for longer you start to turn upwards and this is where the problem lies. The controls are terribly frustrating to use, and you need the patience to learn the controls adequately. Later on in the game, this becomes a huge problem later on in the game where there need to be precise movements.

Should it have stayed on Mobile?

This game is one of the many games that are starting to appear on the mobile. Some say that these types of games are a senseless cash grab. However, I feel like this game fits the Nintendo Switch really well with its cute design and if you are prepared to master the controls then the game is great. The game is only £4.49 ($4.99) and right now it’s on sale for half price! So, if you were ever to get the game it would be now. This game just scrapes into the Pass Category.

Nintendo E3 2018 why it’s going to flop

Why is it going to FLow? Nintendo at E3…

Nintendo at E3, Not Again

If you know me, you know I’m a die-hard Nintendo fan. I show my love and support for the big N with a half tattoo sleeve sporting Nintendo’s number one franchise, Mario. This is why it is uncomfortable for me to say this but, E3 2018 is going to be a bust for Nintendo. Nintendo’s big plans are to only Bring Smash Brothers 5 to the E3 show floor. Yes, it worked with Zelda. It also worked with Mario Odyssey. Not with Smash and here’s why.

Save Some Surprises For The Launch Day

With fighting games like Smash 5, it will be very hard to keep somethings a surprise for Nintendo at E3. Especially if it’s all you will be showing off. With Mario and Zelda, you could show little areas and keep people with just that experience. Nintendo will be having a pro-community Smash 5 tournament. How can you make hype with only showing two to three fighters you can’t.

Days Gone By

Gone are the days when we only had four-page spreads in Nintendo Power. Now everything about a game is spoiled as soon as it is announced and leaves nothing to find out on launch day. I guess I’m just old-fashioned in that way. My mother always told me “why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free”

I feel there will be nothing left for us to experience with Smash 5 on launch day after Nintendo E3 this year, and that’s a shame
