Fortnite on Switch not if but when
Your first question might be, I thought Epic didn’t like Nintendo. I would say that’s not correct, first Nintendo has always had underpowered consoles, so they would not be able to run the Unreal engine. Then people would argue the WiiU could have ran Unreal engine 3 but, at the launch of the WiiU Epic had stopped supporting it, and had moved on to unreal engine 4. Nintendo has worked close with epic studios in Japan to make sure the Nintendo switch would be capable to run one of the most popular gaming engines. A great example of unreal engine 4 running on Switch is Rocket league, the engine is able to easily scale the game for docked and handheld.
Money talks
The first three weeks Fortnite was available on iOS pulled in 15 Million dollars, and that is crazy to think about because it was on an invite-only access. According to CNET, the Nintendo Switch had sold 14.8 as of January 30, 2018. that seems like a lot of money on the table for the people over at Epic to get a hold of, I know for myself I play Fortnite on my Xbox, but I have not spent a dime on the game, if it came to the Nintendo Switch, however, the wallet would be open, in the end, its only a matter of time before Fortnite comes to the Switch, I would say if I’m a betting man that it will be an E3 2018 announcement
