Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle

Nintendo Switch: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe feels like the pinnacle of the series, it took what Mario Kart 8 had on the Wii U and built upon that for a nearly perfect version of what Mario Kart can be. It really is the one Nintendo game that everyone can play and everyone can enjoy.

  • Base Model Console
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The Games

Zelda Breath of the Wild

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Game of year winner in 2017 and it’s not hard to see why. Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is probably one of the best Nintendo games on the system. It was literally a breath of fresh air with its sprawling open world and creative physics engine. Go anywhere, climb anything, if you can see it you can get to it.

Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario Odyssey

If Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the best Nintendo game on the system, Super Mario Odyssey isn’t far behind. The next true 3d Mario since Super Mario Sunshine. Perfect to explore and collect by yourself and it has a handy assist mode for any children who want to explore and experience the world of Super Mario Odyssey.

Splatoon 2

From its clothes, gear, weapons and music Splatoon 2 feels like a self contained culture that has created a trendy and stylish world all within a game. It gets a tremendous amount of love from the development team in the form of free updates. It has events called Splatfest every so often to keep the community engaged and the game feeling fresh. It’s a shooter that’s family friendly and something that only Nintendo could have pulled off.

Starlink

Starlink: Battle for Atlus

Nintendo has had the support of Ubisoft since the Wii days. Ubisoft even supported Nintendo during the dark era of the Wii U. Thankfully for Nintendo, Ubisoft has been hitting some real home runs on the Switch. First with Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and now with Starlink: Battle for Atlus. Starlink with it’s inclusion of the Starfox characters has stealthy became the best Starfox game in ages. It’s fun, fast and well made everything Starfox Zero on the Wii U was not. Plus this comes with an Arwing toy that is more than worth the price of admission.

2DS Holiday Buyer Guide

Christmas is coming

With Christmas just over one month away, a lot of people have started working on completing their shopping list. Christmas is a time of year where a lot of people receive their first console. With so many options to choose from, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. I am going to offer my opinion, on what I feel is your best bang for your buck. I give you the Nintendo 2DS family of handheld consoles. The Nintendo 2DS family is the least expensive gaming option, with a large library of diverse games.

Nintendo 2DS Wedge

Nintendo offers two different versions of the 2DS, the wedge model for $79.99. This option comes packed with either Mario Kart 7 or New Super Mario Bros 2. In my opinion, this model of the 2DS would be perfect for a younger audience, from about five to ten years old. The wedged style handheld can really take a beating, without worrying about the damaging the system.

Nintendo 2DS XL

The second option for the Nintendo 2DS is the 2DS XL. This version is a clamshell design and is a lot more aesthetically pleasing. The Nintendo 2DS XL comes in at a price point of $149.99 and comes in one of two bundles with either Mario Kart 7 or New Super Mario Bros 2. I would suggest that this model would be better for a preteen aged gamer.
