Splatoon 2 3.0 update

Nintendo has released the Splatoon 2 3.0 update on Nintendo Switch. Let’s check it out!

Splatoon 2 3.0 Update, Nintendo Switch

On April 24 Nintendo released a huge 3.0 update for Splatoon 2 on Nintendo Switch. This latest update is one of the biggest updates Splatoon 2 has seen. The 3.0 update contains, over 100 new articles of clothing. A new ranked mode by the name of rank X. A new multiplayer map Camp Trigger fish, a great remake from the first Splatoon. There was some weapon balancing, and also a bunch of bug fixes. More on Rank X

Most Notable Weapon Balances

Splatoon 2 3.0 Update

The most notable weapon balances to me came to the sniper family of weapons. Now when you fire off your sniper rifle, you will ink the area under your feet as well. Changes have also come to my favourite sub weapon. The curling bombs have been the most heavily nerfed. The curling bomb will now change its size depending on how long you hold R for. This change will also effect the curling bomb launcher.

Splatfest changes

Splatoon 2 3.0 Update

There will be some much needed improvements to our favourite block party known as Splatfest. When you have players disconnect from your match your splatfest power won’t decrease. When revealing results they will be showed to the nearest 100 of a decimal point.

Changes to multiplayer

Now when you have players disconnect you will not lose freshness on your main weapon meter.

Nintendo switch hack what it could mean

Nintendo switch hack good or bad

The Nintendo community is all a buzz. The Nintendo switch has been hacked finally, by a group named Reswitched project. Is the Nintendo switch hack a good thing or is it a bad idea? From all of the information I have been able to find about this Nintendo switch hack. I can’t see any good to come from this hack.

What is the Nintendo switch hack?

What could go wrong

You might be asking yourself what could go wrong. I’m glad you asked. If you have spent any time going back to the first Splatoon on WiiU. You will find nothing but  players using mods to stack there gear, and make themselves invincible. In my opinion playing with people like that takes all the fun out of the game. In another game series that I love (Pokemon) you can find cheating of the same kind. I’m talking about the competitive pokemon VGC. It is extremely hard to find top players who are not taking advantage of hack on the 3DS.

How this happens is they use a computer program that makes pokemon to the trainers specification. For example they can make a pokemon have stats that make it more defensive. At the end of the day this is wrong because, players modify the pokemon and import them from outside the game. Giving some players a unfair advantage.

Nothing good can come of this

In the end, nothing good can come from this. it is only going to open the door for players who want to gain unfair advantages in games. One more thing to point out is that modifying your switch the way the hack calls for would void the warranty on the switch. There would also be consequences for individualizes who are found using this hack. Back when pokemon Sun and Moon came out. There were copy of the games were put on to home brew. 3DS  players that were caught using the game were pertinently band from Nintendo online services like the eshop mainly or online play.  If you plan on hacking your Nintendo switch I ask that you think of all the consequences before going a head with it.

Splatoon X Rank: What is It?

Splat News

If you’re like me your favourite part of this most recent Nintendo Direct was all the Splatoon 2
news. The news that got me most interested was the mysterious Splatoon X Rank. Well, some new
news about it has been revealed by Nintendo of Japan.

X Rank

You will reach X Rank after achieving S+10. Once you progress to the Splatoon X Rank you will be
measured by X power. Your X power will determine who you will be matched with and
players with the closest X power will be matched up. Your X power will be reset at the
beginning of each month, and at any time if your X power becomes to low you will be
bumped back down to S+ Rank.

SplatNet Features

During the month you will be able to view the top 500 X Rank players on the SplatNet app
you will also be able to see what weapon they use most.
One of the biggest changes will be to the map rotation, for the month there will be eight
maps rotated in the matchmaking.
What do you think about the changes and, dose the Splatoon X Rank Appeal to you?
