Nintendo E3 2018 why it’s going to flop

Why is it going to FLow? Nintendo at E3…

Nintendo at E3, Not Again

If you know me, you know I’m a die-hard Nintendo fan. I show my love and support for the big N with a half tattoo sleeve sporting Nintendo’s number one franchise, Mario. This is why it is uncomfortable for me to say this but, E3 2018 is going to be a bust for Nintendo. Nintendo’s big plans are to only Bring Smash Brothers 5 to the E3 show floor. Yes, it worked with Zelda. It also worked with Mario Odyssey. Not with Smash and here’s why.

Save Some Surprises For The Launch Day

With fighting games like Smash 5, it will be very hard to keep somethings a surprise for Nintendo at E3. Especially if it’s all you will be showing off. With Mario and Zelda, you could show little areas and keep people with just that experience. Nintendo will be having a pro-community Smash 5 tournament. How can you make hype with only showing two to three fighters you can’t.

Days Gone By

Gone are the days when we only had four-page spreads in Nintendo Power. Now everything about a game is spoiled as soon as it is announced and leaves nothing to find out on launch day. I guess I’m just old-fashioned in that way. My mother always told me “why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free”

I feel there will be nothing left for us to experience with Smash 5 on launch day after Nintendo E3 this year, and that’s a shame

Nintendo switch online reveal coming early May

Nintendo switch online details coming early May

Nintendo switch online details emerged late last week when Nintendo had its annual share holders meeting. Lots of details were given about how many Nintendo switches were sold. There were even detailed outlines of how much software was sold. One of the biggest takeaways for myself was, the talk about Nintendo switch online services.

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima said in a Q&A. That more details would come early May. Kimishima also said “Nintendo has ideas on how to make the service appealing when it goes live in September” and that the next announcement will be worth the wait.

What we know

What we know so far about the service is that. It will be around 20-30 dollars a year. There will also be classic Nintendo titles with added features like. Online play and leader boards. If you want to play online you will need this service. Until more is announced we will just have to hold tight and hope for the best.

More details about online services

Daybreak has also remodeled the controls so that they feel natural on the PlayStation 4 dual shock controller. The new control system will have hot swap looting, there will also be radial wheel menus. As a cherry on top H1Z1 will run at 60FPS on the PlayStation 4 Pro.

During his first interview he mentioned “I grew up playing the Famicom and come from that generation.” Also Mr. Furukawa is quite fluent in English which will be helpful when communicating with investors and the media.  Shuntaro Furukawa is only 46 years old, Kimishima said that it was conscious decision to skew younger with the newly appointed President.

Splatoon 2 3.0 update

Nintendo has released the Splatoon 2 3.0 update on Nintendo Switch. Let’s check it out!

Splatoon 2 3.0 Update, Nintendo Switch

On April 24 Nintendo released a huge 3.0 update for Splatoon 2 on Nintendo Switch. This latest update is one of the biggest updates Splatoon 2 has seen. The 3.0 update contains, over 100 new articles of clothing. A new ranked mode by the name of rank X. A new multiplayer map Camp Trigger fish, a great remake from the first Splatoon. There was some weapon balancing, and also a bunch of bug fixes. More on Rank X

Most Notable Weapon Balances

Splatoon 2 3.0 Update

The most notable weapon balances to me came to the sniper family of weapons. Now when you fire off your sniper rifle, you will ink the area under your feet as well. Changes have also come to my favourite sub weapon. The curling bombs have been the most heavily nerfed. The curling bomb will now change its size depending on how long you hold R for. This change will also effect the curling bomb launcher.

Splatfest changes

Splatoon 2 3.0 Update

There will be some much needed improvements to our favourite block party known as Splatfest. When you have players disconnect from your match your splatfest power won’t decrease. When revealing results they will be showed to the nearest 100 of a decimal point.

Changes to multiplayer

Now when you have players disconnect you will not lose freshness on your main weapon meter.

Splaturday night

Splatoon 2 3.0 Update

If you interested in Splatoon 2 and want a great place to play with a bunch of great people. Consider coming out on every Saturday night 9pm MST or 11pm EST on Quest4Pixels YouTube or on Quest4Pixels Twitch
