Pokemon Rumours : Possible Direct in February?

Is this to good to be true?

If there was one thing the February Nintendo Direct left me wanting more of it was Pokémon. Fear not Pokémon fans we may be in luck, after a string of some cryptic tweets and some creative investigation work we may be in luck.

On February 14 @Junichi_Masuda (he is the composer, director, designer, producer, and programmer. On the Pokémon franchise.) Tweeted out a picture of a Weedle from Pokémon go. It seemed innocent enough, but then the super hardcore Pokémon fans did what they do best.

The Evidence

For the past few weeks people have been speculating, that the 8th gen of Pokémon will be titled King and Queen. A lot of the Pokémon community have dismissed this rumor until @Andrey_Arruda tweeted that same Weedle picture. He looked in to some of the numbers in the picture. First the CP was at 199, on the Pokédex that entry is SlowKing. Second the weight of the Pokémon is 4.16 kg, the Pokédex entry at 416 is Vespiquen. The picture also showed there were 226 candies, that was translated in to February 26. That date lines up with the date for the direct of Pokémon Sun and Moon back in 2016.

Could all of these coincidences be just that, coincidence. Or is there really something here only time will tell. What do you want to see from generation 8 Pokémon. Let us know in the comments down below. Also don’t forget to follow the twitter accounts from where I got this awesome information from.

Tetris 99 for Nintendo Switch

Tetris 99 game play

Can you survive

Tetris 99 is the newest installment of this iconic gaming franchise. Tetris has a way of leading the puzzle genre of gaming, from the first VR puzzle game to now the first Battle Royal puzzle game. This installment Tetris puts you up against 98 other players, for a total of 99 players in a room. Tetris 99 is only available to customers of the Nintendo Switch online service, and it’s free. I have been barley able to pull myself away from Tetris long enough to write this up. From the hour I have played I have not waited longer then 30 seconds to get in to a match, and I have not experienced any lag or slow down, I have also never been disconnected or booted out of a game. If you are a fan of puzzle games this is defiantly for you. Also this is a great perk for Nintendo Switch online customers.

Nintendo Direct February 2019

The first Direct of the year

With the first Nintendo Direct of the year less then 24 hours away, lets talk about what we might see tomorrow. With the out cry from the Nintendo fan base at a all time high, so much so that investor are asking Nintendo if they are still having directs or not. It is fun to speculate as to what games will be in the direct, and with a time of 35 minutes there is a whole lot that can happen. My best guesses would be we see some of the new Yoshi game coming in March. Nintendo has said they will talk about the new Fire Emblem game. I would think that Nintendo would give a little information on the new Luigi’s mansion game for the Nintendo Switch. The same would go for the new Animal Crossing game for the Nintendo Switch as well.

frustration

Built up frustration

One thing that is not fun about Nintendo Directs are, all of the salty and angry post from people who wholeheartedly believed every single Direct rumor out there. We all know a twitter account or a YouTube channel, that will for the next weeks to come just pour hate and shade at the Big N for how horrible the Direct was. First Nintendo did not make all of these rumors up an swear they are true, so please don’t hate Nintendo for that, hold the source of the rumor  responsible for lying to you. Second remember that Nintendo likes to focus 6 months to a year in advance so don’t be expecting any announcements for 2023 (Metriod). Really what I am trying to say is, we all love Nintendo and want to see them do well, but please giver your hopes and expectations a reality check before watching this Nintendo Direct tomorrow.

2DS Holiday Buyer Guide

Christmas is coming

With Christmas just over one month away, a lot of people have started working on completing their shopping list. Christmas is a time of year where a lot of people receive their first console. With so many options to choose from, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. I am going to offer my opinion, on what I feel is your best bang for your buck. I give you the Nintendo 2DS family of handheld consoles. The Nintendo 2DS family is the least expensive gaming option, with a large library of diverse games.

Nintendo 2DS Wedge

Nintendo offers two different versions of the 2DS, the wedge model for $79.99. This option comes packed with either Mario Kart 7 or New Super Mario Bros 2. In my opinion, this model of the 2DS would be perfect for a younger audience, from about five to ten years old. The wedged style handheld can really take a beating, without worrying about the damaging the system.

Nintendo 2DS XL

The second option for the Nintendo 2DS is the 2DS XL. This version is a clamshell design and is a lot more aesthetically pleasing. The Nintendo 2DS XL comes in at a price point of $149.99 and comes in one of two bundles with either Mario Kart 7 or New Super Mario Bros 2. I would suggest that this model would be better for a preteen aged gamer.

More NES online games

More NES online games on there way

On November 14 2018 you will see three new NES online games added to the online library. The three new titles will be Metriod, Mighty Bomb Jack, and TwinBee.

Metrio

Metriod is a classic Nintendo franchise, you play as a space bounty hunter by the name of Samus Aran. You are on a mission to eradicate the Metriods. This game is a lot of fun and is a great addition to the NES online service.

Mightybombjack

Mighty Bomb Jack is a NES title I know nothing about besides that it is a type of platforming game. your goal is to collect all of the bombs on a stage and find secret treasures.

twinbee

Twinbee is another NES title I have never heard of before but, this is the game that I am most excited for. Twinbee is a topdown shoot’em up that will allow online multiplayer. Twinbee is the type of game I was drawn to in the arcade and would sink countless quarters in to.

These NES titles are included in you Nintendo Switch online service so go ahead and give them a try.
