Nintendo Labo Unboxing

It’s 4/20, you know what that means… It’s Nintendo Labo Day! I received both the Robot Kit and Variety Kit and tear into both to see what they contain.

Nintendo Labo Robot Kit

The Labo Robot Kit will be a massive build. It contains almost as many sheets of cardboard as the Variety Kit, though it is all for one set. The box contained the cardboard, the addition rubberbands and straps, and the Robot Kit game. The back of the box shows off the Toy-Con as well as some gameplay, and the game looks to be more than I had expected. It looks like as you play you will be able to customize and upgrade your robot, almost in an RPG sort of way.

Lets Mix It Up: Labo Variety Kit

The Labo Variety Kit contains all the different cardboard assembly for the different Toy-Con that we have seen. Also in this box as well there is a bag containing the different rubber bands and small pieces for assembly, and of course the game. These builds will be quite a bit shorter than the Robot kit, but the games will also be lesser than the Robot game. That still doesn’t take away from what it is. This kit is very intriguing to me and I cannot wait to dig into it.

Whats To Come

One Interesting thing I noticed while Unboxing Nintendo Labo, was that at the top of the box they’re numbered. The Labo Variety Kit is Numbered “Toy-Con 01” and the Robot Kit is numbered “Toy-Con- 02”. This leads me to believe that Nintendo is planning to release more of these kits. I am guessing that the Variety kit and Robot kit both will receive addition kits with more to build. These addition kits will be patched into the games as free DLC with the purchase of new kits. Then down the road, we will get new kits and Labo games to experience. Did you pick up Labo? What do you think of it? Let us know in the comments below, and as always don’t forget to share!
